BANGKOK – Synthetic fibre giant Indorama Ventures (IVL) has signed up to the Textile Recycling Excellence (T-REX) project, which is working to create a harmonised EU blueprint for the sorting and recycling of household textile waste within Europe.
The EU-funded T-REX project was launched in June 2022 by a consortium of 12 textile industry stakeholders, including brands, manufacturers and innovators along with research institutes to transform end-of-use textiles from waste into valuable feedstock and a commodity for new business models that can be adopted at scale.
